Sales Associate/Merchandise Assistant
Commission Sales Associate/Merchandise Assistant is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, meeting both personal and store sales goals, and demonstrating superior product knowledge to customers. Applicant must be able to create a shopping experience that will make the customer feel welcome and comfortable. Daily tasks include but are not limited to; merchandise set-up, entering and tracking purchase orders through QuickBooks systems, maintaining an active social media presence on various platforms, generating reports such as sales history, customer performance, etc. Must have a willingness to learn new tasks and complete them with minimal supervision.

· Assist customers in all aspects of service fulfillment by demonstrating proficient use of point-of-sale systems and applications.
· Enter all purchase orders through QuickBooks system for designated vendors, taking responsibility to ensure all components of the POs are accurate. Transmit orders to vendors via email.
· Communicate with vendors regarding purchase order changes, shipping changes, etc. via email, ensuring a paper trail for future research.
· Develop extensive product knowledge by reviewing vendors and researching in store products.
A knowledge of retail systems software, such as QuickBooks Financial and QuickBooks Point of Sale (POS), is beneficial, but not required. Working knowledge of Windows based software, Microsoft Word, Excel, preferred.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising or equivalent preferred.
At least six months to one year of previous selling experience is required.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to interpret
instructional documents as well as verbal instructions
Mathematical Skills: Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Other skills: Must be able to function as part of a team. Possess a strong sense of urgency.
Must enjoy meeting and interacting with customers.
Work Hours: Flexible with scheduling and available to work retail hours, which may
include days, weekends, and/or holidays.
